Black day..

Today is the black day in the history of Indian Sports. India’s national game is Hockey and today Indian Hockey team is not able to win Beijing Olympics primary qualifying round as well. Britain beat India 2-0 which is really disheartening.

I do remember my 360 friend Munnabhai wrote a Studious Blog on Hockey called “Can it be revived???” which is worth reading.

In that he mentioned the golden years of Indian Hockey and the magic of Major Dhyanchand, the wonder-player of the hockey and Pele of World Hockey.

In Berlin Olympics in 1936, Hitler was confident that Germany will win the gold medal in Hockey. But Dhyanchand with his magic, played so well that India won that final defeating Germany 8-1.
God knows when the dictatorship of Mr. KPS Gill and his colleague Jyotikumar will end in Indian Hockey Federation and the golden era of Indian Hockey will rise on the horizon of Indian Sports.
