Nano

Yesterday Tata Launched world’s cheapest but technically sound car "Nano" which will cost around Euro 1700 or $ 2500. It is really wonderful.
Last week, there was a program on NDTV where one of the great industrialists said that there is no better time to be born in India. So true it is.
I’m watching DW-TV from last 2 years but never once I saw that they have some positive talking about India and I always found that they place India in third word countries. Yesterday, first time, I saw them admitting that this car is technically good and cheapest too.
This car has an engine of 33 bhp, 624 CC. It can achieve maximum speed of 90 kMph and can go 20 KM per liter. This car has passed front and side crash tests as well.
I don’t say that it is the threat to world great car producers but I think developing countries will certainly prefer to import it as paying in Rupees will be preferable to them (as it happened with Satellite Technology).
Indeed, this car is a dream of thousands of Indian homes who feel that they should own a car for years. Their dream can come true at Rs. 1, 25,000 (including taxes) while other same kind of cars were costing Rs. 2, 50,000 or higher.
It is total family car where 4-5 people can sit but without luggage. It is rather a city car.
I feel Tata should now jump into infrastructure development since well built road network is also required if every middle-class Indian wish to own this car.
