Classification

I admit that I’m not so much good with interpersonal relations. But in my company, I had attended one workshop on overall personal development. The trainer over there told us a very simple thing when it comes to dealing with the society.
Whenever you are in the company of a particularly any person, after few minutes classify him as either duck or an eagle.
As per her idea, either person could be duck or an eagle.
Let’s see some examples:
A liftman in her society was illiterate due to economical conditions, now his son is doing engineering and his daughter is doing architecture. Both the syllabi are expensive but he told his children that the education is must. It is important to have a good education. And he even takes loan for their education time to time.
A flower vendor near my house has one spastic son; other daughter has come back to mother’s house within 6 months of the marriage, the husband does not work. Every morning she gets up at 4 O’ clock goes to flower wholesale market, buys the flower and sales it on the street. Now she rented a good room in Mumbai which is quite difficult for even a middle class person now days. Nobody saw her asking for money from anybody despite bad earning conditions till date. Whatever she has done yet was with her savings.
My friend’s mother, who is a millionaire, has adopted her servant’s daughter for education. Her servant is a tuberculosis patient and a widow. Her daughter now learns in one of the best schools in Mumbai. This lady not only pays her educational expenses but in the noon takes her tuitions. Meanwhile, the friends of this millionaire’s lady laugh at her social service because she does not attend so called social gatherings.
These were some examples of an eagle.
Those who do not give their seat to aged or the pregnant women in the local transport are ducks only. Those officers who do not work without bribe are ducks only.
The duck’s examples you will find in billions since in the society ducks are more in number than the eagle.
Duck
Eagle
A born follower.
A born leader.
Walks like a defeated person.
A grace in every movement.
Short sighted bird.
A bird with a vision.
Sounds quack, quack.
Sounds which terrifies others.
Born to be hunted.
A born hunter.
Like to be a part of a group.
Like to face the life alone.
There are many characteristic of ducks and eagle. Therefore once you classify a person as either duck or an eagle, it will be easy for you to deal with him / her.
But remember somebody must have classifying you also at the same time.
